Vasil Hajigrudev

Vasil Hajigrudev is a musician, composer and co-founder of Sofia’s “Da Bade Foundation” and the Novi Sad collective “Horz”.

He is currently involved in the Balkan music scene after a 7 year long period living in Spain and The Netherlands. Following the outlines of the well accepted festival created by Horz for the European Capital of Culture Plovdiv 2019 both organizations are collaborating to enrich and engage uncommon for a music performance places and their people. The goal is making memorable concerts of contemporary Balkan musicians and groups at iconic urban spots in Sofia and Novi Sad. Getting the audience to go to bridges, monuments, catacombs, ghettos, towers etc. and presenting to artists the opportunity to play at inspiring places and make wild videos.

His mini-project mixes up everything nice about the urban environment: iconic places, contemporary artists, new audiences, and transborder collaboration! The goal is to host memorable concerts of contemporary Balkan musicians and groups at iconic urban spots in Sofia and Novi Sad. Getting the audience to go to bridges, monuments, catacombs, ghettos, towers etc. and giving artists the opportunity to play at inspiring venues and shoot wild videos.
