Yana Ivanova is a marketing student from Sofia who works as an office assistant in an international communication company. She was a volunteer for Bansko Jazz Festival for years, then a co-host and leader of press conferences. Her duties now include communicating with international artists and their managers: from making first contact and negotiating, throught keeping their on locale needs requirements satisfied; to keeping in touch after the festival, making sure they have acces to all the publicity of their concerts and interviews. She sees herself as a professional problem-solver who is fascinated by challenged and music. “That’s why I dream of creating events that bring the same excitement and happiness into other peoples’ lives”, she says.
